Welcome to my page,
I am glad to have you here. My site is dedicated to the tradition of Crete and the White Mountains.
I spend my life away form my wife and my eight-year-old son, by living high on the barren mountainsides of Crete overlooking the Libyan Sea.
I left Athens and returned to Crete in order to preserve one of the two last «mitato» that still exist on the White Mountains and continue the family tradition. Mitato is the home of the shepherd up in the mountains made of stones only. Some years ago there were more than 200 mitata here.
Being a shepherd, feeling the nature, smelling the life up here in a different way I decided to share with the world one of the miracles of my country, malotira.
Malotira, also known as Sideritis syriaca, is tea of the mountain and has been traditionally used to cure various diseases, from common cold to allergies and immune system troubles.
